Obituary for Emma M. Scheibly

Emma M.  Scheibly
Averill Park- On March 9, 2018, Emma (Macci) Scheibly passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Emma was born on October 6, 1934, in Rensselaer, New York, to the late Chester and Bertina (Ranellucci) Macci. After attending St. Johns Academy, she graduated in 1953 and went on to pursue a career at the New York Telephone Company. On April 29, 1956, she married the love of her life, William J Scheibly Jr at St. Anthony's Church. They raised two beautiful children and were married for 62 loving years. In 1998, she retired from Tri City Rentals and was involved as a member of St. Anthony's Society of St. John's and Rosary Alter Society of St. Henry's.

She is survived by her husband William J Scheibly, son Stephen Scheibly and his wife Elizabeth Scheibly, daughter Lisa Morgan, five grandchildren Kirk Morgan, Allison Morgan, Jack Scheibly, Emily Scheibly, and Hannah Scheibly, sisters Louise Lounsbery and Loretta Neville, and countless other family members and friends whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her sister Constance Zobie, her brother William Macci, and brother-in-laws Richard Zobie, Michael Lounsbery, and William Neville.


Emma will live on in the hearts of those who loved her deeply, and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and her unwavering faith. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018, from 4-7 pm at W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, March 13 at 10:30 am at The Church of St. Henry's, Averill Park, NY. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
