Castleton- Vincent E. Sturn, age 68 passed away suddenly on Friday, October 26, 2018 at home.
Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Willard E. Sturn and the late Ursula M. Sturn; brother of the late Teresa Sturn. Survived by his wife of 25 years Mary, brother Patrick (Veronica) of Wynantskill, niece Terra (Gary) of Brunswick, his aunt Jean Plume and several other nieces and nephews. Vincent was a 1968 graduate of Van Rensselaer High School. He retired from NYS service in 2007. He had many years of enjoyment with numerous hobbies including, bird watching, gardening, camping, fishing, music and traveling to the Adirondacks and Caribbean Islands. Vinny had the special gift of knowing how to enjoy and appreciate his life. He inherited a wonderful sense of humor and he could light up the room with it if given the right moment. A true animal lover sharing his home with them, a constant source of joy. A memorial service will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Thursday Nov. 1st at 7pm. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call to the funeral home prior to the service from 5-7pm.
