Condolence From: Martha Lasher Warner
Condolence: Barbara and I were pals in grammar school both of us growing up in Rensselaer and attending Van Rensselaer. I remember us walking around the city and hanging out with friends. I have fond memories of Barbara and am so sorry to hear of her passing.

Condolence: I worked with Barbara at Children's Hospital for 14 years and I have always admired her! She was a great mom to Damien, and always wanted the best for him, very proud of his achievements! She was highly skilled in EEG technology and taught so many students the right way to measure a head! She was also very good with children and parents in a tough situation. After she moved back to NY state, I only saw her once more, at the NESET 50th Anniversary meeting, thanks to Ermina driving her to Boston! It was comforting to know that she had friends and family who cared so much for her. She deserves her eternal peace after her feisty life!

Condolence: To my dear friend Barbara:

You truly are and always will be a blessing that came into my life so many years ago. My Teacher and Mentor in the career I have chosen and have shown me a true passion in the field I work within. You are there with me standing by my side as I work day to day. I recall calling you up many times in your retirement to talk about cases and your opinion, and that I will deeply miss. Thank you for opening your arms to my children (Joshua, Kristina, and Marisa) and to my grandchildren Tinayla, Rozalyn and Juilianna.
To the members of your Family that I hold dear to me, how fortunate for me to have not only a friend but also a family member intertwined as one. I don't think everyone can say I have family that are my friends too but I can and have been blessed.

All My Love Always ,
My Feathered Friend"

Condolence: Damien, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a mother to many. I was a student of your moms back in 1989. She was an incredible teacher. She knew her EEG and she wanted to share it with the world. She always said that she went to the school of Hard Knocks. Haha She instilled perfection in us. She put the fear of God in us as well:) Boy oh boy! If our measurements were a few millimeters off, she would make us fix it and didn't care how long it took us. We were stressed out then, but look back with nothing but thanks and praise for the one and only Barbara Carter. To this day, 29 years later, I continue to teach the same way she taught me (maybe a little lighter) because I only hope to pass on her legacy. Everyone I teach I tell them of Barbara Carter and how she was the real deal. Thank you for sharing such a great woman with us. She was remarkable and will be missed but NEVER forgotten. With love, respect and admiration, Kelley J. Salvagno

Condolence: You have always been a part of my life. You have been like a second mother to me and I can't believe you are gone. I love you so much, I'm so glad I got to spend time alone with you in July (we had such a good time together, like we always do) and a little bit of time in August. I will miss you every day of my life. Thank you seems so inadequate. I know where you are and that I will see you again. You were our "Firecracker" Rest in Peace now Auntie Barb. All my love now and always - Kelly
