Obituary for Kim E. Sgroi

Kim E. Sgroi
Sgroi, Kim E. Schodack Landing, NY.
Kim E. Sgroi, 63, passed away peacefully in her home in Schodack Landing on Saturday March 3, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Kim is survived by her husband Arthur M. Sgroi, Jr.; her children Jason (Amy) Sgroi, Michael (Ashley) Sgroi, Marissa (Matthew) Vekasy; stepsons Trey (Debbie) Sgroi, Anthony (Cara) Sgroi, Nicholas (Kristen) Sgroi.
Kim was born August 25, 1954 to Eugene (Dorothy) Groeber of Latham, NY, and is survived by her parents and two siblings, Kelley Couillard and Gregory Groeber. She attended Shaker High School (Class of ’72) and then graduated Hudson Valley Community College as a Registered Nurse. She practiced nursing for over 30 years, and loved the caring of others. This was only surmounted by her true passion of being a mother and seeing and spending time with all of her grandchildren Cristiano, Michael Jr., Leona, August, Oliver, Caroline, Danielle, Nicholas, Trey, Jessica, Alexa, Joseph and Nicole.
Her family wishes to thank Hospice, Heaven’s Lil Angels and the countless number of others who helped in this very difficult time.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass which will be celebrated Friday March 9, 2018 at 10am at St. Mary’s Church, 10 Lodge Street, Albany, NY. Calling hours will be held on Thursday (3/8/18) at W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, Rensselaer, NY from 4-7pm.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York and/or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
