Life Story for Mildred Molasky


Mildred Molasky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday,December 13, 2017 at her home the Reagan House in Albany. Born in Rensselaer on January 30, 1928, the daughter of the late Samuel Molasky and Helen McLaughlin Molasky.
Mildred attended the Senior Program at the Center for Disabilities for 30 years where she enjoyed many activities including cooking, gardening and especially her favorites coloring, trivia games and singing. She was a member of the Choral group and performed in Concerts during the year. She loved being at Seniors and never wanted to miss a day at her “work”.


She was a member of Reagan House family for 25 years ,where she received great care and companionship with other residents and staff. She enjoyed going out on shopping trips, dinner and entertainment events. One of her favorite things was to eat and she enjoyed the homemade meals at Reagan and her cup of tea in the afternoon.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Senior Program staff, the Reagan House staff and the Reagan House Nursing staff for all they did to give Mildred a full and happy life.

Mildred was a a very special person and known for her witty sayings, she will be truly missed by all that knew her.

Mildred was predeceased by her sisters, Dorthy Sackett, Jean Tagliento, and Betty Fettig.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Harriet Roberts, Daniel Tagliento, Betty Venema, Charles Sackett, Deb Tagliento, Vickie McLea, James Tagliento, Mary Sackett, Beth Fettig Hellmuth, Tina Gordon. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, you may honor her memory with a contribution to Center for Disability Services, 314 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 10:30am-12noon at W.J. Lyons Funeral Home. A funeral Service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 3rd Ave Ext, Rensselaer, NY.
